Welcome to Canto de la Selva. This hotel is unique in every aspect, created with the intention of preserving the jungle, specifically the Montes Azules Biosphere Reserve. An important fact is that this hotel used to be connected by land, but due to the change in the Lacantún River, the land connection was erased, leaving the hotel on an island that can only be accessed by boat. Instead of being an obstacle, this has made the hotel truly unique. During this experience, you will enjoy a night of accommodation in rooms that directly face the jungle. You will have the opportunity to listen to howler monkeys, whose howling is sometimes mistaken for that of a jaguar. Without a doubt, it is a unique experience. In the restaurant, you will be provided with breakfast, lunch, and dinner to have the necessary energy to participate in the two experiences included in this package. These experiences could involve walking along two jungle trails, kayaking in the Lacantún River, taking a river tour, and visiting the Casa del Morpho. If you are more adventurous, you can also take part in night hikes within the jungle. Canto de la Selva is undoubtedly a project that will teach you about the virtues of the Chiapas jungle.
