The geography of Bulgaria
Bulgarian costumes
Bulgarian costumes are specific to Bulgaria and the Bulgarians, various or constantly repetitive actions of the people related to the worship of God, holy martyrs, national heroes, nature, human health, persecution of evil spirits, etc. They stem from a combination of pagan and Christian understandings of the world and the cosmos, and are usually arranged in a calendar sequence. People of generations orally pass on the stories related to them, thus preserving the national culture and heritage.
