The library is located in �Slatington’s National Historic District.
Our beautiful building at 650 Main Street
is an example of Italianate style architecture.
It was built in 1897.
Our Facade Upgrade in 2019 was Provided by
a Grant from the Rotary Club of Slatington.

MISSION STATEMENT
The Slatington Public Library’s mission is to improve and to enrich the lives of the residents in our community through information, recreation, and education, using both traditional methods and emerging technologies.
Check out books, return books, ask questions, or sign in to use the computers at our circulation desk.
Look up and notice the beautiful ceiling. And we just restored the skylight to its original design. It has brightened the room! We used funds from the Harry C. Trexler Trust for these improvements.
Please notice our $1000 Donor Plaque in honor of or in memory of precious loved ones. We now have two such plaques.

Our card catalog is digitalized!
Our public computers are used by patrons for research, �to check email, search and apply for jobs, to use social media, etc. �Our librarians are always close by to provide technical help.

Our ongoing sale of gently used books, puzzles, and DVDs is a great place to find something to add to your personal collection.
We rent the most recent titles for a nominal fee.

We subscribe to the Carbon-Lehigh Downloadable Library for eBooks, AudioBooks and e-Magazines. You can download Libby, an e-reader for your phone, tablet, or computer.

We recently installed an elevator so that our librarians can safely transport materials between the first and second floors. We are hoping to renovate the second floor, expand our facility, and share space with the Slatington Historic Preservation Society.
