Home and Away Meets

  • Away meets; SIGN OUT. Parents must sign out his/her child at AWAY meets only. If an athlete is riding home with another parent a note must be sent to Mr. Jefferson that morning, at the very latest. That parent is then responsible for signing out both athletes. If not signed out no participation in the next meet.
    • Players are required to ride the bus to an away meet.
    • All meets;
      • Please do not coach your child, verbally or electronically. Cheer them while playing but it is a KSHSAA and USTA rule that could penalize a player. If you witness opposing parents breaking this rule, tell a coach so we can handle it.
    • With the exception of the first players up we never know what “time” our athletes will play.
    • Players need to make sure theft bring water and snacks (i.e.; fruit or snack crackers, etc.), wear team uniform and have shoes and racquet(s).
    • Again, see team brochure for meet guidelines and expectations.

Meets continued…

  • Singles and doubles play; will try to get all team members playing both at a dual, does not always happen. At some duals, some of our players might only play a singles OR a doubles match. #’s of other team will determine how many go. Also, matches might be shortened from our standard 6 game set to a “Race to 4”.
  • Top 12 will play both.
  • Duals and Invitationals; see calendar for dates and times

At invitationals/tournaments there is no set time to eat lunch. Parents who are attending are more than welcome to leave and get something for lunch for a player, however, players cannot leave the tournament site.
