What to expect from this course?

• Learn the main characteristics of simulations as scientific tools and how they fit into the landscape of computational physics in the so-called "big data era"
• Acquire basic knowledge of complex systems science and simulations
• Explore applications of simulations in physics and other areas of knowledge

• Seeing simulations as tools for thinking about the future
• Grasp the interdisciplinary nature of simulations and orient themselves with respect to possible professions in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) fields and beyond
• Working with the language of simulations to enrich thinking about science in connection with the arts
