Digital Resources for Elementary Students

Seesaw

This is a learning management tool that will be used to communicate with your child’s teacher and will allow them to receive and complete activities in a digital platform.

Zoom

Video conferencing. This tool may be used by your child’s teacher to conduct video calls.

Getting Started with Seesaw

2. Locate the Seesaw website or app.��Seesaw on iPads: This app is on your child's iPad already. �If they accidently delete it, the app can be installed through the Self Service App. (Open Self Service > Locate Seesaw > Click Install)��Seesaw on Chromebooks: Your child can access Seesaw from their MySP applications page located on the Sun Prairie website.

3. Class Codes: If your child logs out of their Seesaw account they may need a class code/QR code to re-enter the “virtual class.” ��Teachers will provide you with a copy of the Seesaw Class Code if you would ever need them. *These are unique codes and should be kept confidential just like other usernames/passwords.

Freckle Math Practice

  • Your child uses Freckle on a regular basis. Their device should already have login information saved.
  • Accessing Freckle
    • Go go mySP > Click on Freckle
  • If the device needs a code:
    • Look in the package of materials provided by your child’s teacher. They will have provided you a copy of the class code.

Google Apps for Education

Google Docs:

This is a word processing tool. Frequently used in school for typing essays.

Google Classroom:

This is a tool that teachers use to share material with students & allows students to digitally turn in assignments.

Jamboard

A collaborative whiteboard app.

Google Accounts:

Every child in the school district has a unique email and password. If they need their account information and have forgotten it, please email or contact their teacher via Seesaw. Teacher’s can share this information on an individual basis.

Google Slides:

Similar to PowerPoint. This tool allows students to create presentations.

These are just a few of the most common Google apps elementary teachers use. If you need more information or support contact your child’s teacher.

What do I do if my child needs a class code or username

If your child logs out of a resource and can’t get back in, use the codes provided by your child’s teacher.

If you need an extra copy send the teacher a message & they will support you.
