P&G NYC Chapter

    • Conducted alum survey to assess interests (topics, event types) and preferences (e.g., live vs. Zoom, locations, times, etc.)
    • Developing better understanding of NY alumni lists and expanding LinkedIn as communications channel
    • Recruited new Board members to reinvigorate the Board and diversify beyond marketing alum focus and create a job description for Board members to align on expectations
    • Did a holiday “pass the plate” fundraiser among Board members to contribute funds

    • Developed Marketing Calendar around 3 pillars:

1) CONTENT: live events or Zoom “lunch and learns”

2) CAREER: discussions on transitioning from P&G to other areas (e.g., P.E., entrepreneurship, non-profits, etc.)

3) COMMUNITY: socials and/or community service events

    • Continue to strengthen tech stack (e.g., email list, website, LinkedIn, etc.)
    • Develop a working roster of event spaces
    • Ensure club has strong financials to support plan
    • Leverage ties to PGAN organizations (e.g., Foundation, etc.)

Alumni Survey

A

P&G ALUMNI NYC CHAPTER SURVEY

Conducted Sept/October 2024

Key Findings:

1. Alumni were most interested in learning about 1) AI, 2) entrepreneurial ventures post-P&G, and 3) the changing economics & ROI of marketing

2. Live events and webinars were the top two favored formats, closely followed by networking/speed-dating/mixer events.

3. Happy hours were the favorite format for social events, followed by wine tastings and cooking classes.

4. For live events, Midtown was the preferred location and midweek (Tues/Wed/Thurs) for dates and early evening (6 PM or 7 PM) for start timing.

5. Almost half expressed interest in connecting with a coach from P&G's alumni network and half expressed interest in participating in a local community service event.

6. Verbatims included "Love more explanations on purpose and goals and leadership. What other clubs do and the possibilities."

Key Indicated Actions:

1. Shape learning events on AI, entrepreneurial ventures and the economics/ROI of marketing

2. Focus on live events (and webinars) and mix of happy hours/socials in Midtown and mid-week at end of day.

3. Identify ways for members to tap into P&G alumni network coaching and consider a local community service event.
