UNIT CONVERTOR

MADE IN C

2 of 17

INTRODUCTION

Unit conversion is conversion between different similar type of unit. For easy conversion between the units we can use Unit converter instead of converting units by solving through formulas. This Unit converter is made by using C Language.

CONCEPTS USED

Key Concept

  1. In this program we used function because functions are used to divide an extensive program into smaller pieces. It can be called multiple times to provide reusability and modularity to the C program.
  2. And recursion is when a function calls a copy of itself to work on a minor problem. And the function that calls itself is known as the Recursive function.

For Example:-

In this part of code we use (void USDtoEUR()) which is a user defined function

  1. We use float to define userinputUSDtoEuro
  2. Printf is a function used to print a line (\n is an escape sequence which is used to print new line character)
  3. Scanf is used to take input from the user (%f is a floating point number for floats)
  4. In next line this is the formula for conversion of USD to EUR
  5. In 5th line of the code USD is converted into Euro as per user inputs USD (%f is a floating point number for floats)

Note:-

Methods are used to make the program easily editable and helps in dividing the program into many segments, where each

Segment can be handled by someone different

Step 1 :- Start by Analysing the problem

Step 2 :- Deciding the units the program would support

Step 3 :- Segregating most commonly used units to be part of the program

Step 4 :- Forming rough pseudo codes for the segements of programs using concept of methods and functions

Step 5 :- Implementing the pseudo code in a proper language for c

Step 6 :- Eliminate any Compile time errors if occurred

Step 7 :- At time of testing and debugging look for desired outputs

Step 8 :- When satisfied save the program and give comments for better readability else go to step 5

Step 9 :- End
