What we like:

  • “The overlaying claw marks will work to convey the animal-like intensity that the Savannah Savages can expect to show whether it be on the gridiron, tennis courts, or even in the debate halls. Also, take note that there are four diagonal claws marks on the design. Those four marks can serve to represent the four years students have to leave their mark on Savannah High School and the district as a whole. “

What we like:

  • “We look out for each other. We protect each other. We are in a sense, a pride.”
  • “The definition of a Savage is a force of nature. I believe as a community we could all take pride in "Being a member of the Savage Pride."
  • “Savage Pride has always been a big part of how we have described ourselves over the years.”
  • “The side profile resembles the old mascot headdress”

Hawk or Falcon

What we like:

  • Fierce, fearless, aggressive, etc.
  • The Red-Tailed Hawk. A common hawk here in Missouri, most often seen perching on trees and telephone poles, eyes fixed on the ground for any movement of prey. Smoke is seen coming from its eye, warping out to form two S's, for 'Savannah Savages'. The hawk is gripping onto a ring, which represents unity and forever unchanging.”

  • Falcons are known for their speed and being good predators. They Treat families with great tenderness. Falcons are known to protect their territory. “

Sabertooth Tiger

What we like:

  • Fierce, fearless, aggressive, etc.
  • Alliteration with Savannah Savage name
  • Unique mascot idea
  • “Saber tooth tigers act similar to modern day lions. They lived in packs and helped each other out. Kind of like our community. Also, the saber toothed tiger is known to be powerful and can be good for working together. Saber tooth’s are great at fighting to win, like the Savannah savages.”
