At 75 Morton, we recognize that every single member of our diverse student body has a unique path to follow.

It is our mission to empower every student to inquire, question, create and evolve as a part of this community to achieve success in high school and beyond.

Academic Excellence

Our diverse academic programs serve the specific needs of our Community:

General Education

All students engage in rigorous, well rounded academic programs in Mathematics, English Language Arts, Social Studies, Science, and Spanish to build strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills, in all grades that align to state standards

Accelerated Classes with Regents Pathway

Students take the Algebra I and Biology Regents Exams to earn high school credit and access advanced coursework in high school. Our school is one of only four in District 2 offering this selective, academically screened program.

ICT Classes

Collaborative Teaching and Inclusive Classroom Models. Each grade level includes at least one Integrated Co-Teaching (ICT) class, we offer 12:1 and 12:1+1 classes

Special Education Services

Comprehensive Special Education Services; Integrated Special Education Teacher Support Services (SETSS), Speech and Language Therapy.

ENL: English as a New Language

Targeted Support for English Language Learners through Stand Alone and Integrated ENL classes.

  • Lab work preparation aligned to the Biology Regents requirements
  • Ensure all 6th and 7th grade students complete at least 4 hands-on lab investigations, aligned with NY State requirements, to support the Biology Regents class.
  • Adoption of New Visions Biology Curriculum in Grade 8

  • Implement a project-based Social Studies curriculum developed by teacher, spanning key historical themes:

    • World History
  • Units are designed to foster inquiry, critical thinking, and cross-curricular connections through authentic, performance-based tasks
  • Projects emphasize research, collaboration, and real-world application to engage deeply with historical content
  • Incorporate the Socratic method through regular Social Studies Seminars, where students engage in structured, text-based discussions

  • Spanish Language Instruction for students in grades 7 and 8, plus a partial year intro to Spanish in grade 6
  • Students participate in comprehensive Spanish language instruction, building foundational skills in speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
  • Our robust Spanish language program to provide a strong foundation in communication, grammar, and cultural understanding.

High School Readiness and Guidance at 75 Morton:

  • Spring 7th Grade Preparation: Preparing students and families for the HS application process in spring of 7th grade. Free SHSAT Tutoring Class Offered through MY After-School Program.
  • Fall 8th Grade Support and Research: Encouraging and supporting families and students in their research of high schools and programs in the fall of 8th grade.
  • High School Partnerships and Information Sessions: Partnering with high schools to offer information sessions for students and families.

Our airy, light-filled home opened in September 2018. Seven floors of spacious classrooms, bright wide hallways, fitness room, dance studio, gymnatorium with retractable seating, art rooms and music studios, plus an outdoor recess yard, make up our beautiful facility.
