About the Summertime Fun Adventure

• This special elective adventure is earned by those Scouts who participate in three Cub Scout activities, May through August.�
• The Summertime Fun Adventure can be earned by a Scout a total of five times, once per rank from Tiger through Arrow of Light.�
• Qualifying Scouts earn an adventure loop to display on their Cub Scout belt!�
• This adventure is not required to earn rank.

Cub Scout Family Camporee

Overnight at Cub Adventure Camp

Join us at Cub Adventure Camp for a weekend of fun spring activities including fishing, archery, BB, Crafts, and (for 4th and 5th graders) the climbing tower.

Event check-in is on Saturday morning, but Packs can arrive and camp on Friday if desired. You can also just come out for the day.

Cub and Webelos Scouts can attend with either their Pack or as a Family campout.

Overnight at Cub Adventure Camp

Saddle up for an unforgettable adventure at Cub Scout Summer Camp 2025! This year’s “Back to the Old West” theme will transport Scouts to a dusty frontier town where the stakes are higher than ever. Joined by the intrepid time travelers Lady Clementine and Lord Marmaduke, campers will unravel a thrilling mystery that could reshape the future. With exciting challenges, hands-on activities, and immersive storytelling, your Scout will learn new skills, make new friends, and create memories to last a lifetime.

Cub Scout Day Camp

Deep Run Park

Cub Scout Day Camp is often called “the camp that comes to the Scout.” Day Camp is an organized program for Cub Scouts and Webelos Scouts under certified leadership, at Deep Run Park in Richmond. Cub Scout Day Camp is a unique program; it is usually the first major activity for Scouts after graduating from their previous rank. At Day Camp, Scouts begin to work toward their next rank in the Cub Scout program, and we use the same ranks to identify age groups as your “home pack.” We welcome non-Scout buddies to join in on the fun, as well!

Cub Scout Weekend Experience

At Cub Adventure Camp

Do your Scouts love the programs offered at Cub Adventure Camp? Wouldn’t it be great if you could offer the same amazing adventures to your Scouts year round?

Weekend Experiences offer Cub Scout Packs the opportunity to customize a program specifically tailored for their Cub Scouts. Leaders can choose from several different programs including Aquatics, Fishing, Nature, Range & Target Sports, STEM, Raingutter Regatta, LEGO Derby, Sports & Personal Fitness, and more!

Each program session is 3 hours long and provides your pack with a unique adventure unlike any other because it’s created around your Scouts!

The 3rd annual Family Scouting Night with the Chili Peppers is June 28th, at Shepherd Stadium in Colonial Heights. Join us for a fun night of baseball, entertainment and great food. Pick up your Chili Peppers patch at the gate. Stay for the post game fireworks show. Let's make memories together this summer!

Join us for a FUNN-filled evening at the Diamond watching the Flying Squirrels. Enjoy a post-game movie in the outfield and Kona Ice truck. $4 from each ticket supports Scouts here in the Heart of Virginia Council. Gates open at 5:30pm with the first pitch at 6:35pm.

The Heart of Virginia Council, BSA strives to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law through outdoor experiences and leadership training. Whether you’re an Eagle Scout or you’ve never roasted a marshmallow, join the Scouts for a night out cheering on the Richmond Kickers!

Scout Summer Experience at the Richmond Raceway�Thursday, August 14th – Saturday, August 16th

Fulfil your need for speed at the Cook Out 400 NASCAR Cup Series! Scouts and their families are invited to enjoy a weekend at the Raceway, and camping at the Scout Village. The Summer Experience includes a commemorative patch and an exclusive track walk.
