is a free, community event held at Weber State University’s

Student Union Building.

700 - 1000 people attend each year

from Utah, Idaho and Wyoming.

It is organized by a committee of Ogden FSL staff members, WSU professor and YSAs.

It is hosted by the WSU History Department and the Afro-American History and Genealogical Society (AAHGS).

It is staffed by volunteers from the Ogden FSL, YSA Stakes and Ogden Institute.

Special Collections

Presentation

  • The WSU Special Collections Library and Digital Collection offer valuable genealogical resources of northern Utah.
  • It is located on the 3rd floor of the Stewart Library. This is where the presentation will be offered. (Seating for 150)
  • The presentation will be from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m..
  • Therefore, you will have to walk east out of the Union Building and up the steps to the Library’s 3rd floor.

NEW Youth

DISCOVERY & ACTIVITY CENTER

  • The YSA Committee created a Discovery & Activity Center to be held in Ballroom C, 10:30 a.m. All are encouraged to participate.
  • There will be 12 Discovery Screens.
  • 4 Computer stations for both Geneopardy and Wheel of Family Fortune.
  • Help with accounts, building ancestral bridge and apps.

FOOD

  • There is no lunch break so when you get hungry make a purchase at one of the following:
  • Snacks are available throughout the Conference from vending machines located near all restrooms.
  • The Shoppette (11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.) has sandwiches, drinks, snacks, etc.
  • Waldos Grill (11:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.) serves burgers, etc.
  • A Mexican food eatery will be open Noon - 2:00 p.m..
