Possible Scoot Options for 4.NBT.2

  • Bags of Base Ten Blocks (How many? OR Write the amount in expanded and standard form.)
  • Used SFAW Practice Sheet 1-5 and used some of those problems.
  • Write questions on index cards (expanded, standard, word)
  • Pictorial representations using base ten block images.
  • Made sure that students were having various experiences with standard, expanded, word form. Also, had some that include zero quantity in some of the places as this is what can be most difficult.
