Labs
Like with gmail, you can check out the Labs (experimental options to add to your calendar)
Try these options by clicking Enable:
Event Flair, Jump to date, event attachments, hide morning and night.

Browse interesting calendars e.g. holidays, sports, domain specific resources (set-up at admin level)

Create school-wide resources that your everyone in your domain can access e.g. room/ equipment bookings.
When you add a resource to your domain, any calendar can access and book it. You can also only book resources that are available.
As an admin, you need to create the resources under your domain: create a resource for your domain

Once these are set up, people can subscribe to the resources they want to see.
e.g. if you wanted to know when the hall was free, you can subscribe to the ‘hall’ calendar and check when it is available.
