We wanted to showcase some awesome personal projects by members of the CodeBuddies community, as well as provide a platform for people to share about what they've been learning.

This set of slides is used for helping organize these twitch.tv/codebuddies streams.

Guests can sign up on this spreadsheet. The host is either @linda or another volunteer.

Guest FAQ

How do I sign up?

If you're interested in sharing about a personal project or about something you've been learning, sign up on https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1kNhAR1nf5CaD-amJ3fJ1K4nKK5hBmx1GpTYDWmls2e4/edit#gid=0 , and a host will reach out to you to confirm the time

How much time will I have?

You'll have 45 minutes (or longer, if the host is free) to share about a personal project or something you've been learning! The project does NOT need to be complete; the point is to talk about the journey

Livestreams will start at the :15 mark so that you have 15 minutes to chat with the host, test audio, and go over the agenda

I don't want to share my video.

That's okay, you do NOT need to share your face/video in the show & tell! Please be ready to screenshare, though. :)

What happens after the stream?

When the stream ends, please take 5 minutes to chat with the host about how it went/if anything process-wise could have been improved. :) �Then, if you and the host are OK with it, reach out to @linda to export the stream to youtube.com/codebuddies where the recording can be archived! (Twitch streams disappear after a week.

Speakers & Hosts:

PREP before the show & tell

1. Host: make sure you have been added to the CodeBuddies Zoom account so you can access https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5438192092 and stream from there
2. Guest: be ready to screenshare via Zoom and confirm the title
3. Host TODOs:
1. confirm with the guest the title of the stream and ask guest to jot notes on this agenda doc
2. create a cover art slide, and download as a PNG image to share
3. create a calendar event on the CodeBudies calendar (ask @linda for access) and make the event location the Zoom link
4. Guest and host: post in #general (or #announcements), and also feel free to share elsewhere on social media using the #codebuddies hashtag

HOSTS: How to stream

• Go to https://us02web.zoom.us/j/5438192092
• Click on "more options" -> "Live on Custom Live Streaming Service"
• Follow the instructions on the live page
• Now you're live!
• Please screenshare the relevant speaker slide as the first image
1. Afterwards, OK to let the speaker screenshare
• As the intro, say "Welcome to another CodeBuddies Show & Tell Twitch stream"
