Locally Developed vs. Destreamed/Single Pathway

    • Locally developed courses are meant for students who had a modified curriculum in elementary school
    • They can also be used as a bridge course to prepare students for the grade 9 destreamed curriculum
    • They are NOT meant for students who simply dislike a subject
    • Entrance into these will be based on the recommendation of the elementary school
    • Students make take one or several L level classes based on their IEP/strengths
    • Options: English, Math, Science and French
    • Destreamed/single pathway grade 9 classes are designed for most students and delays the decision about post secondary pathways until grade 10
