Cross should be 35’9.4” (35.78’)

• 2” off? Remeasure.
• First, verify what the long side should be if short side is 16’ and diagonal is 35’11-½”:
• 32.2=sqrt(35.96^2 -16^2)
• -> long side should be 2.4” longer than 32’ if diagonal were this much.
• Thus, measurement must be off! Remeasure.
• Same measurement for diagonals (longtape)!!!
• Conclusion: bad tape!!! The long tape is 0.75” stretched per 16 feet, and explains the discrepancy to within measurement errors.
