All Year 8 are encouraged to keep their option choices for SUBJECTS broad and balanced

If your options are not balanced you will need to discuss your reasons with your house staff.

Elements

  • You will complete two Elements courses in Year 9 and 4 in both Year 10 and 11 (10 in total)
  • You need to choose a 1st and 2nd choice for semester 1 and semester 2 courses for Year 9
  • Check the school website for information on the different Elements courses available.

Not bound by your first round options

However, we use your first round options to make the timetable�The more accurate it is, the more chance that will have of securing the options your want

Students making changes to options after the final round choice will be subject to availability

Elements option allocation will go, in order of priority, to students entering Year 11, then 10, then 9

Waitlists will go in the same order

Ideally, you should view your Elements as a 3 year process, but review them regularly to check that they are still the best choice for your interests and future pathways.

How to make your choices:

Step 1: Logon to the student Gateway

Step 2: Click ‘Student Option

Step 3: Open the “Year 8 into Year 9 options (Entrance) 19-20” tab

  • Select 1 Language and 6 Optional Subjects
  • Add any notes to justify your choices
  • Click ‘Submit

Step 4: Open the “Years 9-11 Elements” tab

  • Select 1st and 2nd choice for Elements in semester 1
  • Select 1st and 2nd choice for Elements in semester 2
  • Add any notes to justify your choices
  • Click ‘Submit
