Why we can’t wait to meet your child...

  • Members of Gen Z are more racially and ethnically diverse than any previous generation.
  • They are on track to be the most well-educated generation yet.
  • They are also digital natives who have little or no memory of the world as it existed before smartphones.
  • They care deeply about their country’s future

OUR ADVISORY

PROGRAM

16 of 24

What is Advisory at MHS?

  • Each student at MHS is enrolled in an Advisory section with a teacher (advisor) and a small community of their grade-level peers.
  • Students stay with their same peers and advisor for the duration of their enrollment at MHS.
  • During a normal school year, Advisory meets daily for 30 minutes.
  • The main focus of Advisory is to establish a safe, small-group community for students to connect with their grade-level peers and build community, while receiving essential information and support from their advisor.

17 of 24

What is Link Crew at MHS?

  • Link Crew is a high school transition program that welcomes freshmen and makes them feel comfortable throughout the first year of their high school experience.
  • Built on the belief that students can help students succeed, this proven transition program trains mentors from the junior and senior classes at MHS to be Link Crew Leaders who guide the freshmen to discover how to be successful during the transition to high school.
  • Link Leaders help facilitate freshman success as they are paired with freshmen advisories, so they can maintain this positive relationship all year long.
