God who is rich in mercy, loved us even when we were dead in sin, and made us alive together with Christ. By grace you have been saved. In the name of + Jesus Christ, your sins are forgiven. Almighty God strengthen you with power through the Holy Spirit, that Christ may live in your hearts through faith. Amen.

O God, in the transfiguration of your Son you confirmed the mysteries of the faith by the witness of Moses and Elijah, and in the voice from the bright cloud declaring Jesus your beloved Son, you foreshadowed our adoption as your children.
Make us heirs with Christ of your glory, and bring us to enjoy its fullness, through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever. Amen.

Why are the nations in an uproar? Why do the peoples mutter empty threats?
Why do the kings of earth rise up in revolt, and the princes plot together, against the Lord and against the Lord’s anointed?

*GREAT THANKSGIVING
We give you thanks, Father, through Jesus Christ, your beloved Son, whom you sent in this end of the ages to save and redeem us and to proclaim to us your will.
He is your Word, inseparable from you, through whom you created all things, and in whom you take delight. He is your Word, sent from heaven to a virgin’s womb. He there took on our nature and our lot and was shown forth as your Son, born of the Holy Spirit of the virgin Mary. He, our Lord Jesus, fulfilled all your will and won for you a holy people; he stretched out his hands in suffering in order to free from suffering those who trust you.
He is the one who, handed over to a death he freely accepted, in order to destroy death, to break the bond of the evil one to crush hell underfoot, to give light to the righteous, to establish his covenant, and to show forth the resurrection, taking bread and giving thanks to you, said: Take and eat; this is my body, given for you. Do this for the remembrance of me.

Vicar Matthew Walsh is a Collaborative Learning (CLE) Student serving Prince of Peace while pursuing an MDiv through Wartburg Theological Seminary and is a candidate for ordained ministry through the East-Central Synod of Wisconsin. Vicar Matthew will preside over the worship life of the congregation during his time as a CLE student, including weddings, funerals, and other celebrations and life events of the congregation and community. He is authorized by Bishop Anne Edison-Albright to preside at baptisms and communion for Prince of Peace, Coloma while he is a Collaborative Learning Student.
