ACTIVITY 2 - PRACTICE

Next, students will look at examples of the wars for independence in Mexico, Chile, and Brazil. Collectively, complete the rainbow highlighting and questions for the Mexican Revolution found on pages 2-3 to model expectations for students. Then, students will work with a partner. Each partner will complete page 4 based on either excerpt about Chile or Brazil. Partners will share their learnings with each other after completing their reading and excerpt.
