UN SDG Action Campaign
Guidelines for Partner Organizations

1. Introduction
The UN SDG Action Campaign cooperates with external organizations and the need to use the UN SDG Action Campaign logo by third parties arises. The logo of the UN SDG Action Campaign is protected by the branding guidelines of the United Nations.

2. Terms and conditions of use
The logo of the UN SDG Action Campaign and its initiatives may be used by third parties subject to the following terms and conditions:
The UN SDG Action Campaign logo may be used only if:
The logo shall be used in its entirety without distorting, modifying or separating its component elements. Permission to use the UN SDG Action Campaign logo does not confer on those to whom it is granted any right of exclusive use, nor does it allow them to appropriate the logo, either by registration or any other means. Each case will be examined individually to ascertain whether it satisfies the criteria set out above.

There are three versions of the UN SDG Action Campaign logo:

The UN SDG Action Campaign Logo with UN emblem (Section 6) may be used by United Nations offices, Funds, Programmes, other subsidiary organs and organizations of the United Nations System, and those that receive individual approval from the UN SDG Action Campaign.
The UN SDG Action Campaign Logo without UN emblem (Section 7) may be used for entities outside of the United Nations System which receive individual approval from the UN SDG Action Campaign.
The UN SDG Action Campaign Supporter Logo (Section 8) is for use by entities outside of the United Nations System.
3. Request for permission to use the UN SDG Action Campaign logo
Request for permission should be submitted to the UN SDG Action Campaign: support@sdgactioncampaign.org with the subject “Request for use of the UN SDG Action Campaign Logo”
4. Downloading the UN SDG Action Campaign logo
Approved third parties will receive the UN SDG Action Campaign in all its formats directly from the UN SDG Action Campaign.

5. Use of the “Sustainable Development Goals” logo, color wheel visual identifier, names for each of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals with corresponding individual icons for each goal
For such requests, interested parties must follow the Guidelines issued by the United Nations Department of Global Communications. More information is available at https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment.
The UN SDG Action Campaign follows these guidelines in its materials.
6. UN SDG Action Campaign logo with UN emblem for UN entities & approved third parties
The logo of the UN SDG Action Campaign must be visible in its entirety and placed on a background which does not compromise its integrity. The logo is unalterable and inseparable in all its component elements. Modifying the logo in any way is strictly prohibited. For reasons of integrity and visibility, it should always be surrounded by a clearance area, or “protection area”, which no other element (text, image, drawing, figure...) can infringe upon. The clearance area around the logo is equal to the height of the “CAMPAIGN’ line of the logo.

Negative version over dark backgrounds
This version of the UN SDG Action Campaign logo is only to be used on a black or dark colored background.
7. UN SDG Action Campaign logo without UN emblem for approved third parties

Types of use of the UN SDG Action Campaign logo by partner organizations
Co-branding
Co-branding shall be used for products and activities in which the UN SDG Action Campaign is involved as equal partner. For co-branding with external organizations logos, make sure all logos have equal and balanced visual weight and align them with each other horizontally. The UN SDG Action Campaign logo shall be placed along with the logos of other organizers and it should be proportionately the same size as the size of the logos of other organisations. The protocol order of the logos should be decided in each case as appropriate.

Sign-off
Sign-off shall be used for products and activities which the UN SDG Action Campaign supports and is involved in, or when the UN SDG Action Campaign is involved as a partner. In this case, the UN SDG Action Campaign logo shall appear together with a text line which explains the nature of involvement of the UN SDG Action Campaign.
The text line and the UN SDG Action Campaign logo shall be placed together. The text shall express the nature of involvement of the UN SDG Action Campaign, with explicit approval from the UN SDG Action Campaign.

8. UN SDG Action Campaign Supporter logo for non-UN entities & approved third parties
The UN SDG Action Campaign Supporter logo must be visible in its entirety and placed on a background which does not compromise its integrity. The logo is unalterable and inseparable in all its component elements. Modifying the logo in any way is strictly prohibited. For reasons of integrity and visibility, it should always be surrounded by a clearance area, or “protection area”, which no other element (text, image, drawing, figure...) can infringe upon. The clearance area around the logo is equal to the height of the “SUPPORTER line of the logo.
The version with the row of SDG icons below is used for when the logo will be used in a larger format and the text of the SDG icons is legible. For smaller uses of the logo, the version without the SDG icons below should be used
