Okay so helping me today is same staff member Terry Terry can you introduce yourself I'm going to be helping out with the with Monday okay so that's all thanks Terry let's all turn on gallery view it's up at the top it's under the meeting menu at least it's on my Mac go down to gallery view that lets you see everybody I can't control it but we can all if you don't want to be on video you could you don't have to turn on either anyway let's just call the top left corner the screen to it if you're in the app itself hey babe you say say say hello so today we're going to count things by making patterns but first you're going to need some things to count so I want really know there's no password you can change it so I want to get 20 20 or 30 small things and and a sheet of paper is like this I've already done it find those and then when you've got him Point your webcam down so you can see we can all see your objects if you can if you're at a desktop you won't be able to move your camera 20 small things I put mine on a sheet of paper but if you just have a table that's fine too they can be pennies or marbles are beans or Legos more or less the same end now if there's something that rolls around like marbles please get a towel so put them on a towel so they don't roll around see Brianna is off getting thing trainers looking for got a paper towel that's a good idea what is valuable paper towel that got some coins okay I'd like you to arrange Take 6 push everything off the page and just take six things and arrange them on the page in something that is a pleasing pattern something that is easy to count and it might be symmetrical might not but some pattern that you like and you can see what other people are making so you can make pattern try to make a pattern this different from what anybody else is made just six six objects and got some M&M's there awesome got to see a pentagon if you a couple triangles oh that's good that's cool okay so anybody want to talk about the pattern they made please raise your hand or put a hand into the screen and you want to talk by what you made everybody want to talk and put your put your hand in your screen if you wanted to scribe what you did I just I guess I call and somebody Jackson can you tell us what you did yeah it's on mute your screen who else wants to describe what they did all right so I think this this is an easy arrangement of spies so I thought I would just stick with arranging it like you see tips on a die or macrina catch up and then + 125 + 1 one other person okay well there many different ways to arrange things by Pink do we have somebody else want to go it's not okay so we're going to move on Terry King me everybody so now I'd like you to try but everybody stay in gallery review Terry if anybody spotted lighted please allow everybody to see everybody in gallery view okay so please put 8 objects on your screen on your page Abigail play game here's how it works first you try dividing the objects on your screen to two equal groups and make make those groups look the same doesn't have to look the same the CIO ice I'm supposed to be showing my yeah it does so I made squares but they don't have to look like squares they could look like something else know if those groups can be divided into two groups do that also so and try to make them look the same so here's that's eight divided into two groups so the game is that you divide into groups and then make all the groups with the same and point your camera is down so we can all see yeah people have done it different ways okay now let's add one more Penny and let's try it again can you divide this was fried divided into two equal groups well that's an odd number so it's not going to work so you can't divide it into two groups let's try three groups can you divide into three equal groups what's 9 that's right you can arrange them different ways here's a triangle made out of triangles one of my favorite ways to it okay let's try it with 10 now care got an even number again so we could divide into two equal groups but you have another choice you could also group group it into five groups cuz as you probably know 10 is I can be divided nicely into five by five so that's a dividing five into 5 groups of two two groups of five or five groups of two and what about 11 can you divide that into equal groups
