Instructional Writing
WALT: write explicit and detailed instructions.
We write instructions to explain how to make or do something.
We want the reader to be able to follow the instructions and do the task on their own!
We break it up into a sequence of steps to help the reader do what needs to be done.
Here are some words that might be useful for you to use when you are writing your instructions.
