Suspensions, Fall-to-Fall per 100 students (full report here)

14

Grades TK-12 Unmatched Students

Source, Date, Definition: RPA and Synergy. Fall semester 2019-20 to fall semester 2021-22. Suspensions per 100 students: 100 times the count of suspensions divided by student enrollment. Interpreted as the number of suspensions per group of 100 students.

Data Observations

Suspension rates for Fall 2021 at each grade level are higher than they were in Fall of 2020, but lower than in the last pre-pandemic Fall semester of 2019.

Fall 2020 data should be considered in the context of the pandemic and related site closures/distance learning. All students were engaged in distance learning.

As evidenced by the charts on the next slide, suspension rates did increase for some MS and HS student groups from Fall 2019 to Fall 2021, namely AA, AI, FI, WH (MS) as well as PI and HOM (HS).
