  • In the Bible, “times and seasons” generally refer to God-ordained periods or moments.
  • “Times” (Greek: chronos) refers to chronological or period of time.

Example: days, weeks, months, years.

  • “Seasons” (Greek: kairos) refers to appointed times.

Example: feasts of Israel: Passover, Pentecost, Feast of tabernacle, etc.

1. Chronological Time (“times”):

Period leading up to Christ’s second coming.

2. Appointed Time ("seasons"):

Day of Christ’s return.

Jesus’ second coming and the end of the world are two events that will take place within a period of time and recognized by certain events.

What period of time?

2 Thessalonians 2:2,3- 2) “That you be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand.“ 3) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed the son of perdition; 4) Who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sits in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God.
