On behalf of our coaching staff, we would like to welcome all of our athletes to Cimarron Middle School. We pride ourselves in involving our students in after school athletics to build on each athlete’s individual characteristics. Below is some information about our programs. Current Physical Required to Participate

A DCSD Medical Eligibility Form (sports physical) signed by a physician is required to participate in all sports. This form is valid for 365 days from the date of the physical exam. If the physical will expire during a sport season, the student must have documentation of a new physical in order to continue to participate in that sport.

Official CHSAA form- only need page 4 turned in.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Attendance
    • Students must be at school for at least half of a day to participate in their sport that day. Practices and Games.

​

  • Eligibility in Standards Based Grading
    • Eligibility reports will be pulled on Monday of each week.
    • An athlete is ineligible if he/she received a U in work habits in any of their classes at the end of the week.
    • If the athlete is ineligible, he/she will sit out the first day of competition that week.

​

  • Schedules
    • Practices are from 3:20 pm – 4:45 pm Monday through Thursday.
    • Friday 3:20-4:15
    • On poor weather days, outside sports practices will end at 4:15pm.
    • If an athlete cannot make a practice, they should contact the coach.
    • Schedules are on the CiMS athletic website.
    • All Practices, Games/Meets are subject to change/cancellation due to weather or other reasons.
    • Changes will also be communicated through the Remind App and on the website.

Please help keep coaches happy

  • Please make arrangements to pick up your athlete at the end of practices.
  • One coach will always be here until the last student is picked up.
