STEP FOUR:

Develop your puzzle/story! Make it fun, and not too complicated. Choose images that fit your story.

Write your story on a google doc. Make the doc shareable through the orange share link--choose anyone with the link can view.

Copy the link!

*This process will be the same for each clue or image.

STEP FIVE:

Add the link to the image that you want the students to click. I usually add the story doc link to the CLICK HERE image, so that students know where to start.

To add the link to the image, click on the image, and then click on the link button in the toolbar. Paste the link from your doc to that link.

Your doc is now connected to that button!

STEP SIX:

Create clues! I use google forms. Watch one of the videos in slide 2 of this presentation if you are unfamiliar with setting these up. I add the clue, and some info--a link to a video, a weblink to an article, or some text for them to read. Then I add questions in the google form.

I do not create puzzle locks--but the videos in slide 2 can help with this.

STEP SIX CONTINUED

Add the next clue so the students can access it after they submit their form.

Use the Settings Wheel (looks like a cog beside the SEND button.) Select presentation, then edit the Confirmation message to give the clue.

STEP SEVEN

Use the SEND button in forms to create a link. Copy the link, and paste it into the next object in the escape room, as before with the CLICK HERE button.

All Done!

Add as many Forms as you would like-I usually have done 3.

Have fun!

Please contact me if you have any questions, and use the videos in slide 2--they really helped me.
