Making UTP Cable for Use

Begin by cutting the cable to the desired length.

Align the wires closely together. �Cut the wire tips to the same length.

Place the 8 wires into the RJ45 plug, making sure the copper contacts are facing upward.

Make sure the cable jacket goes inside the RJ45 connector.

Having the cable jacket in the correct position ensures a stronger connection.

Use a crimping tool to press the copper pins of the RJ45 connector onto the UTP wires.
