In 4th grade, your child has the option to learn one of these instruments.

Though there are other musical instruments, these are the band instruments we offer to our students.

Things to Consider when joining the band

  • Elementary School lessons are PULL OUT lessons. Students are responsible for making up any missed classroom work.

  • Your child is expected to be present in group school lessons and practice their instrument on their own, at home, on the other days of the week.

  • Learning an instrument takes practice, patience, and dedication. It will be difficult at times but I promise you that you can do it!

  • Your child should be practicing at home around 2 hours a week. Never make practicing a punishment for a child.

  • Students should come prepared for lessons knowing their assigned songs. They should also be on time for their lesson with their instrument and book.

  • Find a nice quiet place for your child to practice in your home.
