11 of 18

The Project

  • The idea came from Kentucky’s 3rd grade social studies standards and the focus on global cultures. Students chose a country and researched it using both books and online encyclopedias.
  • When the research was done, they constructed boxes with 6-8 artifacts representing the country.  Artifacts could be made with craft materials or brought in.
  • After building the boxes, we took a 360° picture and edited the picture in ThingLink.

The Project

  • Our 4th grade spent a lot of time with Narnia just before Winter Break.
  • 16 students were chosen to participate in this project based on their level of interaction with the story.
  • The goal: Create a VR recreation of a scene in The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. After building the boxes, we took a 360° picture and edited the picture in ThingLink.

17 of 18

The Project

  • An idea grew in 2nd grade. How could we use this new technology to tell stories?
  • Students wrote and illustrated original mystery stories. Their illustrations lined the walls of the boxes as we took the 360° pictures.
  • Using WeVideo, students filmed and edited each other reading these stories with the illustrations in the background.
  • The videos were put in the ThingLink pictures.
