The Center for Hope Community Violence Intervention Programs (CVIP) advance intervention and prevention of violence in communities in Baltimore, and works to mitigate trauma effects on individuals across the lifespan.

Community Violence Intervention Programs 

Safe Streets Center for Hope’s largest Community Violence Intervention Program is a community-based team of credible violence interrupters who intervene and prevent potential shootings among those at the highest risk of involvement.

Hospital Responders provide critical interventions to patients at bedside, with resources to improve their health and safety, lessen the impact of trauma, and decrease the likelihood of the reoccurrence of violence.

We respond to Community Violence, Domestic Violence, Elder Abuse, Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking.

Community Violence Intervention Programs 

Pathways to Advocacy Against Violence Everyday (PAAVE) provides youth and their families affected by homicide or a near-fatal incident with trauma-informed, evidence-based, intensive case management, mental health treatment, and impactful referrals. 

PAAVE also hosts a number of community outreach events.

Kujichagulia KUJI is an extraordinary Center for Hope engagement approach offering participants a digital platform for discourse focused through a community lens. A new radio station for youth to discuss violence intervention solutions in their communities. 

Coach Program provides schools with resourceful programming focused on bullying prevention, life skills, choice and consequence, violence prevention, self awareness, and more.

Developing Inner Values to Achieve Success (DIVAS)

is the Center for Hope’s mentoring program. Our goal is to work with young women to address vital issues such as self-esteem, conflict resolution, communication, personal safety, career goals, and community. The program empowers the participants to experience life from optimistic mindset.
