  • Start at http://opensourceecology.org/workshops-and-programs/
  • Find Upcoming Workshops and move content to Past Workshops
    • See and change content between [one_half] and [one_half_last] tags

1. copy a draft FIRST

2. change URL to new workshop URL

Create a New Slider and populate with slides

Steps for Integration

  • Make sure 2 column navigation is selected under Template
  • Go to Appearance on Left bar and then Theme Options
    • Under Theme Options go to SideBar
    • Add New - and call it MicroHouse Workshop 4
    • Add an ID, such as MHwkshp4, then Save Changes
      • Note: slug must be all lower case - MHwkshp4 doesn’t work!
      • New sidebar was created, need to add content to it
  • To add said content, go to Widgets under Appearance
    • You will see new sidebar there, MicroHouse Workshop 4
    • When you click on the little arrow there, there’s nothing in it.
    • To add content, drag a Text Box into MicroHouse Workshop 4
      • Title that Text Box with Info
      • Copy Text from previous MicroHouse Workshop into the text box.
        • Click Automatically Save Paragraphs
        • Change the URL to MicroHouse-4
        • Save
  • Go back to MicroHouse 4 page, and select Primary Sidebar Choice, select MicroHouse 4, and click Update
    • Review: in one place we added sidebar, in another we created content, and in a third place we used the content.

Steps for Integration

  • Drag another Text widget into MicroHouse 4 to put in Eventbrite embed code
  • First, Eventbrite event must have been set up
    • Go to Invite and Promote, then Widgets
    • Generate Widget code - both Embed and Countdown
      • In countdown, make Text and Links white - and get rid of OSE and Eventbrite logos from the widget to pop out just the event. Remove everything after the Iframe outside of the closing </div>
  • Now add the specific Workshop to the Worskhops Navigation pulldown menu
    • GO to Appearance then Menus
    • Select Workshop name, and drag it into menus.
      • Nest it under Workshops
