Different types of child abuse
- Child abuse is when a child is harmed violently, either physically or mentally. This kind of violence has to be done on purpose, with no reasons. Being hurt on accident or being disciplined for something you did wrong by your parents is different.
- Physical abuse – this happens when someone does something on purpose to hurt or to harm you for no reason, if someone gives you drugs, alcohol or any poisons, this is also physical abuse.
- Mental or emotional abuse - this is when someone says extremely hurtful things about you to make you feel really sad or bad about yourself
- Effects of abuse - children who are physically abused have injuries on their bodies. Sometimes they will need to go to the hospital. Children who suffers from mental abuse are always scared, anxious or can’t concentrate.
