Discovery Education
Self-Study
Dates: January 18th-March 24th
Clock Hours: 1-5
Objectives:
Participants will learn how to login to Discovery learning, search for and play/download videos and other educational resources.
Participants will explore how they can use student logins to share Discovery resources with their students. This includes how to use it with Google Classroom.
Participants will become familiar with Instructional strategies and creation tools like Quizmaker and Studio to better incorporate Discovery resources with student activities.
Course Completion: When you’re finished, complete the course form, and you’ll get your clock hours when the course closes at the end of March.

Task 2: Discovery Training Resources- Getting Started
You’ll find multiple training resources on this site (you will need to login first.) Complete the second row of links. They each contain short videos and brief overviews of how you can use the program with your students. Practice searching for, playing, saving (downloads, Quicklist and My Content), and assigning videos.
After completing these activities, check out this page that shows how to integrate Discovery and Google Classroom for easy ways to share content with students.�

Want to learn more? You’ll find more training resources on this site (you will need to login first.) Complete the second row of links which are Interactive courses. Some might be repetitive, but will be a good way to reinforce your learning.
If you completed any or all of these courses, you’ve added another 1-3 clock hours (track your time) for a total of 2-4 clock hours. If you’re done, fill out the course form to complete the class.
