Day-of Volunteer = 2-hour shift

  1. You are very important in helping us run a safe, fun and organized competition!

  • 85% of our all-volunteer Regional Board members will be in a competition space facilitating the competition and working with the teams.

  • We need YOU to help EVERYTHING run smoothly—You are the face of Odyssey!!

  • Odyssey is Fun… Student Focused… Positive… Flexible… Problem Solvers… Fair… Fun!!

  • You will be representing a team who is required to supply

a Day-Of volunteer to work a short shift.

  • Please show up to your assigned time and stay throughout. Failure to comply could result in a penalty for your team. Be in touch if you run into a situation. (Susan 412-418-9117)

  • Before Saturday, take a moment to understand the logistics of the day and your role in helping the day be awesOMe!

  1. No matter where you are assigned, please be on the lookout for safety concerns, outside assistance concerns, family members who need directions, teams who run into trouble, and more!

  • Wear a volunteer name tag. Look out for people needing assistance. Get to know your station. Bring the person taking the next shift up to speed on how to approach your station.

  • There are police officers on duty during the competition. Call 911 if there is a medical emergency. There is a first aid kit at the MS Lobby Info Station #1. If there is a fire alarm, help people calmly exit the building.

  • If there are any issues, like an argument, a medical situation, a facilities issue, etc, even if it has been resolved, please write down a short report and let Susan know asap. (412-418-9117)

And finally…

  • Report directly to your assignment.
  • Please arrive early to get acclimated.
  • Sign in on the sign in sheet at your station.
  • If you are last, please collect up the items at your station and take to INFO Station #1 in MS lobby.
  • If you are last at INFO #2, please load up the trophies and Ranatra award and take to the HS Gym for awards set up.
  • If you are working Merchandise or the Raffle around 3:00, please help move these items to the HS lobby for awards.
  • Friday night volunteers should report to the MS lobby INFO #1.
