  • For this retreat, we have the privilege of hunting a private ranch near Cherokee, TX, within the middle of the beautiful Texas Hill Country. This ranch is along the Cherokee Creek, one of the only creeks consistently holding water in the area.

DETAILS

  • There is a nice 10-bedroom lodge on the ranch that offers both twin and queen-sized beds.
  • Each evening, we will gather in the lodge where we’ll enjoy meals and conduct our Manhood Discussions.

Ironman Outdoors volunteers will facilitate each hunt.

A Pro-Staff individual will assign each hunter a portion of the ranch using a draw process.

​

We will use OnX to establish zones on the property map.

​

Each hunter must stay in his zone.

​

Each hunter should be prepared with his own calls and decoys.

HARVEST LIMITS

During the retreat, each hunter will be allowed to harvest 1 Rio Grande Gobbler.

​

This ranch has lots of hogs, so if the opportunity presents itself, you can shoot as many hogs as you would like.

​

We will have a place for each hunter to skin and clean their harvest, but we suggest that you bring a cooler to transport any meat harvested.

MANHOOD DISCUSSIONS

​

During our time together, we will gather as a group to conduct our Manhood Discussions

These discussions are simply an authentic and transparent conversation about what it means to be a Christian man.

Topics may range from hunting, work, fatherhood, and women to leadership, sports, and everyday life.

These are Not Bible Studies, they’re Not Devotions and they’re Not Sermons.

Every man on the retreat is respectfully expected to be present for these discussions.

  • Cushion to sit on – while hunting
  • Highly recommend sighting in rifle before coming; will save time on the range.
  • Rifle in the event you decide to hunt hogs and predators.

As we draw closer to the retreat, an exact address will be provided, but for planning purposes, you must be at Cherokee Baptist Church (Cherokee, TX) at 1:00pm on April 2nd.

Our Policy:

REFUNDS

  • We grant refunds up to 60 days before the retreat.  We will subtract 3% to cover card fees incurred by the ministry when you booked.  
  • No refunds will be given within 60 days of the retreat.  If you have to cancel, we will use your fee as a scholarship for another man who can’t afford the full amount.

Our Policy:

BALANCE DUE

  • Any outstanding or remaining reservation balance is due at least 14 days prior to the retreat.
  • All retreats must be paid in full before any hunting takes place.
  • To make final payment, go to the donation page on our website. Put retreat name and date in the comment box.
