#HACK 2022 Presentation Format

On Sunday, 16 Oct, 2pm onwards, the Main Event will commence! Each team will be allotted around 10 to 15 mins, which includes around 5 to 8 mins for presentation/demo and the remaining time for Q&A by the audience.

Key Deliverables and Format:

  • Presentation ~ 2 to 3 mins
  • Demo ~ 3 to 5 mins
  • Q&A ~ 7 to 10 mins

Identify the Target Beneficiary and the Problem/Need.

Do not repeat the Challenge Statement. Try to be more specific - for e.g., Tamar Village is an organization that reaches out to sex workers. A couple of examples of the problem/need

  • There is a lack of awareness of university students prostituting themselves online, and the people closest to them may not know about it.
  • The organization does not know the codewords or lingo associated with online prostitution, therefore they can’t identify or track these indi

Solution / Prototype Demo

Highlight the main features of your solution. Focus on the unique qualities of the solution. Consider using the demo of the prototype to present this area.

For example:

  • A web crawler is used to scrape data from popular web forums hosting online prostitution. Using ML to analyze the scraped data to identify common codewords or lingo. Tamar can use the data analyzed to plan intervention measures or strategies/campaigns to reach out to the potential beneficiary
