Program Vision/Description

The San Pasqual Union Dance Team (SPUDT) is a parent-volunteer-led program aimed at providing students with lifelong physical activity, recreation, and social skills. The program also aims to promote sportsmanship, inclusivity, discipline, and comradery among the students of SPU. The SPUDT is open to all students of SPU in 1st – 8th Grade.

This program promotes an opportunity for students at SPU to experience the many physical, mental, and social benefits of dancing through an extracurricular dance program. It encompasses one or more of the following: Instruction in mixed genres of dance (e.g., hip hop, jazz), performance at school events and local community events (e.g., Escondido fall fest, del mar fair), and off-campus “field trip” opportunities.
