Using “I” vs. “me”
When describing an event that you and someone else (subjects) did together, refer to yourself as “I”, unless you are the object of the sentence, in which case “me” would be the last word of the sentence.
Error Sentence:
Me and my dad
went to the store.
Correct Sentence:
My dad and I went
to the store.
Also Correct:
I went to the store
with my dad.
Incorrect Sentence:
Me and my mom are cleaning the house.
Correct Sentence:
My mom and I are cleaning the house.
Also Correct:
I am cleaning the
house with my mom.
Incorrect Sentence:
Me and my family
went on vacation.
Correct Sentence:
My family and I
went on vacation.
Correct Sentence:
I went on vacation with my family.
Incorrect Sentence:
Me, my sister, and my cousins went to the park.
Correct Sentence
My sister, my cousins
and I went to the park.

I went to the park with
