 Newfield Junior Honor Society

We are pleased to congratulate the following 7th, 8th,

and 9th grade students on their acceptance into the Newfield Junior Honor Society. Their selection was based upon careful consideration of their scholarship, leadership, character, and citizenship by our faculty council. Membership in this club is both a recognition of past scholarship, leadership, character, and citizenship, as well as an expectation of continued achievement in each of these pillars. Advisors, Mrs. Hamilton and Mrs. Kozlowski, are very proud of these students for completing the application process and earning recognition for their hard work. We loved seeing members of our National Honor Society (grades 11 and 12) distribute acceptance letters and are excited for this meaningful partnership moving forward!

COUNSELOR’S CORNER

Getting Ready for High School

It is hard to believe that our 8th graders are starting to get ready for 9th Grade!!!

There will be an 8th Grade Parent Night from 6:30-8:00pm in the High School Auditorium on March 7, 2024.  We hope all of you can make it as it is a time for us to explore the difference between middle school and high school, learn about high school classes and have time for any questions you may have about high school.

Following the meeting, I will meet with each student to select courses for the following year.  It would be great if you can join us for this meeting to get your questions answered and support your 8th grader in the process.

A letter was sent with the date and time of our meeting. This meeting typically takes about 30 minutes and you are invited to join us.  If you are unable to attend in person, we can certainly still include you via phone call or a virtual meeting.  Please let me know if you would like one of these alternate meeting options.

I am excited to meet you and assist as you begin this exciting transition into high school.
