Notes:

OSE Linux testing: issues

Discussion about specifications of the mico tractor design, while showing the CAD File.

Focus job on the tractor, current state of the tractor.

Not technically acurate:

Motor is up,

Mounting plate is not correct

Path array draw a line, etc. (FreeCad knowledge)

42 inches

Make 9 inches the tracks

Tracks are not lined out with the idlers

Shaft is looking good….

20 inches height of the power cube…

Shaft goes the whole way to hold loaders

To Do: make a Geometry to put the loader

Because the tracks are so height on the back there is not so much space,

Requirement: put the center of gravity as low as possible

Missing the idlers: need to be tensioned

Put a shaft through the middle of the frame or under the frame, or through the frame;

Mount two motors so that : assembly mount the motor on some ckind of a plate against the vertical so that …lower the sprocket all the way down, take a pin and then connect the track,

34 tracks; put 40 , sprocket is sticking too much..

Bobcat standard

Next Steps:

Promo video October 30; still doing the filament maker

Experimental torch build; October 14 -15 Saturday Sunday;

Change in the setup of workshop, 1sst half day, focus on manipulating freecad and generate drawings

Heavy duty: 200 pounds milling/ force, belt drive for heavy duty machines.

Calculations indicate that is possible that you it can be slower,

But speed of machining throughput, produce 1 per day…. Low Volume production

This is the value proposition

Previous build: heavy duty drills…Main take away: We know how it works, use hydraulics for the heavy duty motors, and stepper motors for the drives on the axis,

200 pounds per inch of belts, duplication or quadruplication of belts, using the same universal axis…. Core technology universal Axis…

New workflow to generate full exploded views…

Roberto: This procedure is easier

Problem quality of the image,

It should be possible to improve the image quality

Workflow for importing assemblies

Is the power cube and assembly or separated in parts;…

Keep it as a one part;

Gasifier: Talked to someone: We are still planning for gasifier, smaller version with better carburetor, click to see the notes, print in ceramics. Printing clay, Print the core of the gasifier, is a very high temperature carbon monoxide, charcoal is the fuel, it burns… is very high temperature….

Discussion about the OSE linux:

Problem to download, bandwidth limiter, in chromium,

Not well provided links for Christian

Michel: wokflow of 3d parts webgl is being still develop

Problem Freecad doesn't export MTL file

Find developer Python;

OSE ISO

Testing - Please post details on OSE Linux wiki page

Download ISO - 3.5 GB

#[[Abe Log]] works. Booted, but wired network errors. Standard Intel Ethernet Device failed, but I will retest.

#[[Marcin Log]] - works. Some software is missing. Wireless doesn’t work.

#[[Michael Log]]

#[[Michel Log]]

#[[Oliver Log]]

#[[Roberto Log]] It works great, actually faster than my current installation. Only missing the EPA wb.

This is how the EPA WB should look like:

Questions/Comments

  • Anyone else reviewed OpenPLM further?
  • What is status with login to osedev.org? I can’t signup, but my email is listed as having an account- lex
  • Lex Berezhny <lex@berezhny.com>
  • Some of the CAD files uploaded did not really follow the File Simplification protocol. Mostly in that editable versions are needed first. Might need to make that a priority for new devs. See the link to it on the new devs page.

Trackless MicroTrac

  • Move part library from OSE Part Library to TCS 2017 page
  • Bobcat standard - Marcin
  • We want the tracks to be 9" instead of 10" wide, and then align idlers - Abe
  • Add the loader arms - Josh
  • Add quick attach plate - JOSE
  • Add details -
    • Bolting of Power Cube to Frame - add bolt holes and bolts and washers - abe
    • Bushings through the metal, not on side
    • Add shaft - abe - I think I understand this now. Working to clarify from docs.
    • Align idlers - abe
    • Add bolt holes+ bolts to motor plate + motor
    • Add clamps for idler shafts, next to the mouning plate (shaft does not spin)
      • Finish the clamp (add bolts and bolt holes)
    • Add suction hose to Power Cube
    • Add power out quick connect coupler to the pump (see next slide)
    • Add 2 set screws to idlers
    • Add 4 bolts to idlers
    • Add bolts to idler plates
