Tips for accessible slides

  • Use pre-built layouts and elements offered by the tool you’re using (e.g. Google Slides or PowerPoint)
  • Use readable fonts and text sizes
  • Use unique slide titles
  • Use descriptive link text
  • Include alternative text on visual elements (images, graphs, etc.)

Tips for color blindness

  • Color blindness affects 1 in 12 men,1 in 200 women (colourblindawareness.org)
  • Use multiple methods to differentiate data including color, labels, and formatting (do not rely on color alone, especially red and green)
