Apprenticeship

  • Attend school 208 hours a year
  • Work 700 to 1500 hours per year
  • Starting wage is 70% of Journeyman’s wage
  • Wage increases are based on completion of on-the-job training hours and school hours
  • Benefits include health care, pension and annuity

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • A High School Diploma or GED is required
  • Physically capable of performing the work of the trade
  • Applicants will provide a physical from a doctor stating the above at the time of the oral interview
  • Applicant will be drug tested prior to starting the Apprenticeship
  • An aptitude test will be given. Must have a score of 70% or higher to move on to the oral interview
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English
  • Must have a Driver’s license at the time of selection and maintain a dependable form of transportation to both work and the training center.
