Course Sequence

Sports Medicine (Concentrator) * A-G “G” Area

This course provides an opportunity for the study and application of the components of sports medicine including, but not limited to: sports medicine careers, organizational and administrative considerations, prevention of athletic injuries, recognition, evaluation, and immediate care of athletic injuries, rehabilitation and management skills, taping and wrapping techniques, first aid/CPR/AED training, emergency procedures, nutrition, sport psychology, human anatomy and physiology, therapeutic modalities, and therapeutic exercise.

Medical and Hospital Careers (Capstone) * A-G “G” Area

* Optional Butte-College Credit

Medical and Hospital Careers is designed to expose high school students to a variety of health occupations, and to help prepare them for the workforce. Students will learn basic medical knowledge and skills, and will have hands-on learning experiences. The class will meet for two class periods per day. The first fourteen weeks of class are spent in the classroom preparing students and laying the foundation for job site placements. Students will then experience two rotations, which include working at a supervised job site during class time four days per week. In-class instruction will occur one day per week. Students will provide their own transportation to and from daily job placements. Students will be required to obtain industry specific immunizations prior to job placement. Students are required to complete HIPAA training and adhere to all industry standards for appropriate workplace behavior.

Medical Terminology/Medical Careers (Introduction)

This course explores the specialized language used in the medical profession. Emphasis is placed on the definition, pronunciation and spelling of medical terms with a focus on building medical words using prefixes, word roots, suffixes and combining forms. To further advance a working knowledge of these terms, vocabulary is taught in relation to the basic anatomy, physiology and pathology of body systems. This class also explores various medical careers and the post-secondary education requirements needed to attain specific career goals. Students will learn to take vitals and become CPR certified. One culminating project will be completed each semester. This class does not satisfy any science credit toward graduation. Passing this course with a “B” or better earns Butte College credit.

Carreras médicas y hospitalarias está diseñado para exponer a los estudiantes de secundaria a una variedad de ocupaciones de salud y ayudarlos a prepararse para la fuerza laboral. Los estudiantes aprenderán conocimientos y habilidades médicos básicos y tendrán experiencias de aprendizaje prácticas. La clase se reunirá durante dos períodos de clase por día. Las primeras catorce semanas de clase se pasan en el aula preparando a los estudiantes y sentando las bases para las colocaciones en el lugar de trabajo. Esta clase también explora varias carreras médicas y los requisitos de educación postsecundaria necesarios para alcanzar objetivos profesionales específicos. Los estudiantes aprenderán a tomar los signos vitales y obtener la certificación de RCP. Cada semestre se completará un proyecto culminante. Esta clase no satisface ningún crédito de ciencias para la graduación. Al aprobar este curso con una “B” o mejor se obtienen créditos de Butte College.

این دوره فرصتی را برای مطالعه و کاربرد مولفه های پزشکی ورزشی از جمله، اما نه محدود به: مشاغل پزشکی ورزشی، ملاحظات سازمانی و اداری، پیشگیری از آسیب های ورزشی، شناخت، ارزیابی و مراقبت فوری از آسیب های ورزشی، توانبخشی و مهارت‌های مدیریتی، تکنیک‌های چسباندن و بسته‌بندی، آموزش کمک‌های اولیه/CPR/AED، روش‌های اضطراری، تغذیه، روان‌شناسی ورزشی، آناتومی و فیزیولوژی انسان، روش‌های درمانی، و تمرینات درمانی.

مشاغل داکتری و شفاخانه * A-G “G” Area

اختیاری بخاطر کردیدت در کالج بیوت

مشاغل پزشکی و بیمارستانی برای قرار دادن دانش آموزان دبیرستانی در معرض انواع مشاغل بهداشتی و کمک به آماده سازی آنها برای نیروی کار طراحی شده است. دانش آموزان دانش و مهارت های اولیه پزشکی را خواهند آموخت و تجربیات یادگیری عملی خواهند داشت. این کلاس به مدت دو دوره در روز تشکیل خواهد شد. چهارده هفته اول کلاس در کلاس درس می گذرد تا دانش آموزان را آماده کند و پایه و اساس کاریابی را در محل کار ایجاد کند. سپس دانش آموزان دو چرخش را تجربه خواهند کرد، که شامل کار در یک سایت شغلی تحت نظارت در طول کلاس چهار روز در هفته است. آموزش در کلاس یک روز در هفته انجام می شود. دانش آموزان وسایل حمل و نقل خود را به و از محل کار روزانه فراهم می کنند. دانش‌آموزان ملزم به دریافت واکسیناسیون‌های خاص صنعت قبل از کار خواهند بود. دانش آموزان ملزم به تکمیل آموزش HIPAA و رعایت تمام استانداردهای صنعت برای رفتار مناسب در محل کار هستند.

اصطلاحات پزشکی / مشاغل پزشکی - معرفی

این دوره به بررسی زبان تخصصی مورد استفاده در حرفه پزشکی می پردازد. تاکید بر تعریف، تلفظ و املای اصطلاحات پزشکی با تمرکز بر ساخت کلمات پزشکی با استفاده از پیشوندها، ریشه کلمات، پسوندها و ترکیب فرم ها است. برای پیشرفت بیشتر دانش کاری این اصطلاحات، واژگان در رابطه با آناتومی، فیزیولوژی و آسیب شناسی اولیه سیستم های بدن آموزش داده می شود. این کلاس همچنین مشاغل مختلف پزشکی و الزامات تحصیلات پس از متوسطه مورد نیاز برای دستیابی به اهداف شغلی خاص را بررسی می کند. دانش‌آموزان یاد می‌گیرند که موارد حیاتی را بگیرند و گواهی CPR دریافت کنند. یک پروژه اوج در هر ترم تکمیل خواهد شد. این کلاس هیچ اعتبار علمی برای فارغ التحصیلی را برآورده نمی کند. گذراندن این دوره با نمره "B" یا بهتر، اعتبار کالج Butte را کسب می کند.
