Students can be referred by teacher, admin, parents or themselves any time during the year. The GCPS AIG Referral Form must be completed to begin the referral process. Student referral windows for each month from the 1st - 15th.
Classroom teachers will support AIG Specialist or ALF in collecting data for referred student. The AIG Team meets monthly and will determine eligibility and services based on the data presented.
Student is identified and will receive services through the GCPS AIG Program.
The AIG Team will determine appropriate identification area and level of services needed.
Student is not identified by the AIG Team. A parent letter will be shared.
The AIG Specialist will host a parent conference (virtual is allowed) to discuss and create the DEP or Academic Blueprint.
Student can be re-referred at any time with the expectation that new data is available and can be reviewed by the AIG Team.
