  • Croatia is an eastern European country long coastlines on the Adriatic Sea, having more than a thousand islands.

  • Croatia is located in eastern Europe located around Hungary, Bosnia, and Slovenia.

Capital

  • Zagreb is the capital of Croatia and is the largest city.
  • It is located in the northwest of the country, along the Sava river.

Cuisine

  • Croatian Cuisine consists of a lot of meat, stews, and seafood.

Climate

  • In the peak of a Croatian summer July and August it has an average temperature of low to mid 30ºs.

  • In the winter it could go down to 5º although it doesn't really go below that.

Architecture

  • Croatia has buildings and houses that date back to over 14 centuries ago.

Gornji Grad

  • Gornji Grad is the medieval core of Zagreb.
  • It developed as two separate towns, Kaptol and Gradec. They merged together in the 1770s to form Gornji Grad.

Pula Arena

  • Pula Arena is the 6th largest surviving roman arena.
  • The Pula Arena was built around the 1st century AD and could seat over 26,000 spectators.

Plitvice Lakes National Park

  • Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the oldest national parks in croatia.
  • The park was founded in 1949 and is located in the mountain area of central Croatia.

  • Hvar is a Croatian island in the Adriatic Sea, located off the Dalmatian coast.
