Collaboration Logs

Candidate professional learning:

Candidates can record professional learning attended at their site, work done with a coach, district PL
PL done within the professional work day does not count towards the 15 hours of PL needed through TEAM.

Mentors are having difficulty logging time when they see their candidate daily.

Ronda suggested putting a date range and logging the time.

Ronda shared examples of collaboration logs. Would prefer color coded text vs highlights. Would also like dates next to the content as well as the date/hours section.
Professional learning can be listed on the collaboration log, but if it’s part of your normal work day (meaning getting paid) it can’t be used for TEAM credit. TEAM must be above and beyond the professional work day.
A Mentor noticed that SpEd Collaboration logs are missing the “Other Support, Communication or Collaboration cell. Stephanie Betz will rectify this.
Signatures will no longer be required on the collaboration logs.
A Mentor was unsure where to place a conversation that happened over the phone on their drive home. Ronda suggested placing it in the “Just in Time” support.
Workshops/Mentor meetings can be logged under Other Support,
When attending an induction workshop with a candidate, be sure to capture this time up top

ILP Cycle 1 Workshops

October 18, 19, 24, 25, & 26

Meeting the needs of Year 1’s and Year 2’s

October 18 & 19 will be geared more toward Year 2’s needs.

Mark progress on previous ILP Development.
Small groups for article jigsaw.

October 24, 25, & 26 will be planned with Year 1’s and new to district Year 2’s in mind.
