It’s time to write.

1. You will need your Tree Map from our last meeting.
2. You will use your Tree Map to fill out the Flea map on slide 4. You can either fill it out on the slide or you can recreate the map in your notebooks.
3. After you fill out the Flea Map, show it to your teacher.
4. After your teacher approves your Flea map, go back to Google Classroom and write your response on the document provided.
5. Make sure you use the tools we’ve provided. On this slideshow, we’ve create a list or sample Claims, Reasons, and Evidence that you can use if you need it.
6. Get to WORK!

You must make a claim. Keep it short and to the point. See the examples on slide 5 or use your own.

You need 3 reasons. Think about your Tree Maps. The “Why.” Also, see the examples on slide 5 or use your own.

You need evidence to support your reasons. Look for the yellow highlighted passages on the documents. Also cite that evidence like, According to Polybius or Fergus Millar says.

Third,

The biggest power was held by the people.

All free males citizens could vote.

These are for transition words.

This is where your reasons go. Think about the “Why?” in your Tree Maps.

This is where you evidence goes. Think about the yellow highlighted parts of the documents.

Cite Evidence

Remember to cite your evidence, like - According to document A or Alan Ward says,

Use this slide if you need it. We’ve listed some sample claims that you can use. We’ve also listed some sample reasons and evidence. If you need them, copy and paste them into the Flea Map.
