RULES & REGULATIONS

  • CeramicSpeed Finals ZADA Pre-Race Communication:
  • The event will fall under the full Zwift Cycling Esports Rules and Regulations (the “Rules”) which can be found at: https://zwift.com/p/zwift-cycling-esports-rules/
  • In the event that the provided Technical Guide & Race Book conflicts with the Zwift Cycling Esports Rules and Regulations, the Technical Guide & Race Book shall control.
  • There may be post-race verification of some riders by ZADA following some races.

THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAMME

  • CeramicSpeed are using this race series as a way to find their next Brand Ambassadors.
  • Their next ambassadors will be picked from the programme, but won’t necessarily be the overall winners.
  • CeramicSpeed are looking for more than just purely the race results, they’re looking for you to show your personality and engage with them via social media.

TRAINERS & POWER METERS

  • The primary source of power data (i.e., power data device connected to the game) must be a controllable, direct smart trainer (or smart bike).
  • The trainer (or smart bike) must be paired as the controllable device. The game will set all controllable devices to a minimum difficulty setting of 50%.
  • A power meter must be used as a secondary source of power data. The power meter must be connected to a separate recording device (bike computer/head unit).
  • Riders must use the default manufacturer factory slope settings on any power meter.

HEART RATE MONITORS & CADENCE SENSORS

  • Fully functioning heart rate monitors and cadence sensors must be used and connected to the game client. Heart rate data recorded by a secondary device (e.g., a cycle computer) will not be accepted.

DUAL RECORDING

  • Dual recording is required for the Finals. Instructions for dual recording can be found in Appendix A of the Cycling Esports Rules and Regulations

GAME DEVICE

  • Riders are encouraged to use a laptop (Mac or Windows) or Windows-based tablet to run the Zwift game application for the event. This may be a requirement in future invitational races/events.

STEERING

  • Steering functionality is disabled.

PRE-RACE INSTRUCTIONS

  • Immediately before the race
    • Calibration: Spindown smart trainer and zero offset any power meter immediately before the race after your warm-up.
    • Connection: Set up power data sources (i.e., smart trainer, power meter), HR monitor, cadence sensor, and any secondary recording device.
    • Start Pen: Enter the start pen at least 30 minutes before the start of the race. Comply with any instructions from Zwift representatives in the start pen.

ZADA POST EVENT PERFORMANCE VERIFICATION

ZADA will contact the top 6 riders from each race (female and male) after the event for post-race performance verification. In case of a rider in the top 3 failing verification ZADA will verify the next rider in line.

ZADA will email the riders after the event and request the following information and the rider will have 24h to collect and submit the following information:

- Primary power source (smart trainer) details (Brand, Model, Firmware).

- The secondary power source (power meter) details (Brand, Model, Firmware) and the original file recorded to the HU.

- Best outdoor efforts in form of .Fit files with Strava links from within the last 12 months ranging from 15sec to 10min.

- If no outdoor efforts are available: Dual recorded Zwift indoor efforts in form of .fit files ranging 15sec to 10min (include both files).

- Height and Weight video. Please refer to Appendix A of the rules and regulation on how to conduct and store the videos (https://zwift.com/p/zwift-cycling-esports-rules/)
